This beautiful sparking punch is the final beverage in my 12 Cocktails of Christmas series! I had a ton of making making all of these festive cocktails throughout the holiday season to share with you. You can check out the other 11 cocktails here.
Personally, I am a big fan of punches. They are easy to throw together and work wonderfully to serve a thirsty crowd. I like to keep the alcohol pretty mild in punches – you know, nothing that will knock you on your bottom during a holiday party – more like a nice drink to carry around a mingle (while keeping your wits). They are also really low maintenance in terms of refilling, you just pour in some more juices/wine, give it a stir and you’re good to go.
Christmas always feels like the perfect time to have your beverages sparkling so this punch does just that. It’s a balanced blend of juices mixed with sparkling wine. It is also so easy to make non-alcoholic too! Just swap out the sparkling wine for some sparking water or even a sparkling cider. One of my favorite tricks for with this punch is t freeze some cranberries to throw in when you serve it. They will help keep it chilled a bit without watering it down.
This punch tastes best when it’s nice and cold, so I recommend chilling all the juices and the wine before preparing it. You can also mix the juices ahead of time and store in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it. Then just transfer the juice mixture to a punch bowl and pour in the sparkling wine.
