So it turns out that I am a pretty big fan of lists, especially ones that compile some of my favorite things. Any “end of the year” or “top whatever” lists make me a little giddy – maybe I’m just a little sentimental. Wanna know what’s even better? Having all of your favorite songs from the year smushed into one. Yup this is actually a thing. Every year at the end of December I patiently wait for that years mash up to come out from DJ Earworm, I think it’s my favorite part of new years! Without further adieu, here is the 2012 video.
Tell me you didn’t love it??! Just wait till you hear the ones from previous years (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) it’ll bring back all kinds of memories!
Now that you have some fun 2012 music to listen to, let’s celebrate the end of year by looking at the top 12 recipes on The Marvelous Misadventures of a Foodie in 2012. First up we have reader favorites! Naturally the ones you guys love are definitely ones that we love in our house too. Here we go:
8. Sparkling White Peach Sangria
That list tells me that you guys like booze and sweets just as much as I do
But since 12 just isn’t enough, here are my 12 favorites (not including a bunch of those from above!)”
Some of my favorite sweets from this year: Birthday Cake Frozen Yogurt, Birthday Cake Oreo Bark, White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Popcorn, Cherry Dark Chocolate Chunk Brownies
I know you guys already know this, but we love out pizza and burgers – here’s some of my favorite versions: Herbed Turkey Burgers, Hot Wing Pizza, Mexican Pizza, In-N-Out “Animal Style” Burgers
And last but not least, I had to round it out with a few of my favorite beverages from the year + my fav mac and cheese: Classic Southern Sweet Tea, Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur, Frozen Margaritas, Three Cheese Mac & Cheese.
Now you tell me…what was your favorite thing you made in 2012?!
