Currently: November 2012

A few days late..but I couldn’t let November slip by!

Loving: Hot tea. My assortment of flavors at work grew by like 5 in November. Now I just added my absolute favorite, Peppermint – the question now is, how long will that box last? The outlook isn’t good.

Reading: After blowing through Divergent and Insurgent in like a week I haven’t picked up any new books yet. But I’ve been enjoying reading through all the holiday issues of my favorite magazines – and I know this is shocking, but most are food magazines..

Watching: Dexter and The Walking Dead have taken over Sundays in our house. No really, it’s totally a thing for us now, we literally eat dinner in front of the tv – I make sure to plan my meals accordingly. I’ve also gotten into this season of Next Iron Chef: Redemption and I am on Team Faulkner all the way!

Anticipating: My annual Holiday Baking Extravaganza with Lorraine! We get together each year for a full day of baking. It’s one of my favorite holiday traditions. We are currently assembling this year’s list of must makes.

Listening to: Confession: I stated listening to Christmas music the week before Thanksgiving. I listen to satellite radio in my car and they mentioned that the holiday stations have started…I instantly switched my station over and I’ve been hooked since.

Planning: New Christmas traditions – this year it’s the 12 Dates of Christmas. I’ve been concocting a list of fun dates for Lance and I to do, just the two of us. For us it’s a great way to take time out of the busy holiday season and enjoy each other’s company. I’m spacing them out throughout the month since 12 straight days would be hard for us, and the only rule I’m using is that it must be an activity that just the two of us do together. I’ve got things like decorating the tree, making and sharing a holiday cocktail, checking out holiday lights – I’ll be sharing along the way!

Working on: Pulling out all of our Christmas decorations. I’m ready to get our house lookin festive!

Wishing: For time to slow down a little. Seriously December, what gives? I need some more time to savor my favorite peppermint everything.

Love love love your 12 Dates of Christmas idea! December definitely needs to slow down. I feel like life in general needs to slow down. Time is flying.
