Not my best week, but it wasn’t completely horrible.. I guess my body just wanted a break after that 17 miler and the bike crash last week.
September 17th – 23rd
Monday: 2 mile walk
Lance and I took Tink on a two mile walk – just our usual loop!
Friday: Bike 16.05/1h 20 min/ 12.0 mph
Easy bike ride to breakfast and coffee with Ari. She was recovering from a week of being sick so we took it really easy. And it’s the first time I was on my bike since my crash – I definitely need to take my bike into the bike shop…it’s a little screwy because of my fall!
Saturday: Run with Team Challenge: 3.75 miles
The team ran 4 miles this week. I decided to run to the water station with a few people on the team, waited until people turned around and came back to head back to the start. I would run with someone for a bit – then turned around and went back to the water to wait and run with the next person. It was lots of back and forth but since everyone has different paces I had the chance to run with quite a few people on the team.
Sunday: 1 mile hike
Lance’s company had a work campout in Pinetop this weekend. We rode around some trails on UTV’s, had a big fire with S’mores and we watched The Lorax (such a cute movie!!) on a big screen outside – It was a packed couple of days. On Sunday morning before everyone left we went on a little hike around the property. There were lots of kids so our pace was reaallly slow (like 38 min/mile slow haha) but it was great to get moving before jumping back in the car to head back to phoenix.
My goal is to get at least 1 run and 1 bike ride in before we head to Myrtle Beach on Wednesday night – and I hope that I’ll have time to go for a run along the beach on Friday or Saturday morning while we are there!
