My husband is the master griller in our house (although I grilled by MYSELF for the first time last night and my chicken came out perfect!) and there is nothing Lance likes more than plain old BBQ chicken. Not only that but he would probably pour BBQ sauce on everything if I let him ;)
We always have some in the house – and we are particularly fond of any “honey” variety. While I love to make my own BBQ sauce as often as I can, it is sorta a pain since you have cook it down – and lets be honest here, who wants to stand over a pot of simmering liquid for an hour when its 110+ outside? Sounds miserable, right?
So today I bring you a perfect for summer BBQ sauce – one that requires NO cooking and packs tons of flavor! It takes a few items from your pantry that you whisk together and voila! You’ve got a tasty BBQ sauce. I always keep some liquid smoke on hand (it’s perfect for recipes like this!) but feel free to omit it if you don’t have it.
Lance was *very* skeptical on this sauce when I told him what it was, but I urged him to taste it before I slathered it all over our chicken. He was a little surprised that he actually loved it and said it might be his favorite (win!).
